Ferry coming to Coney Island!

Over a century ago Coney Island had four oceanside piers with ferries delivering beachgoers from docks as far away as Newwark, NJ, 23rd St in Manhattan and 59th street in Brooklyn.
Ferry service will now return!
Coney Island will once again have ferry service this time from Wall St. to the Coney Island Creek.
Kudos to Councilman Mark Treyger’s office for relentlessly pushing for this measure. Many residents and groups like the Alliance for Coney Island amd the Facebook group Coney Islanders 4 Ferry Service demanding ferry service to this area which is often overlooked.
Service should be availble by 2021.
