Pokémon Go Hot Spots in Coney Island

The biggest mobile game in U.S. history has arrived at Coney Island! The past week obsessive players have been witnessed (not us) trying to find and catch Pokémon characters in the real world of Coney Island.

Where are some of the hot spots?

According to Luna Park, in Luna Park! There’s even a gym located at the Thunderbolt!

We found out that the area surrounding MCU Park including Steeplechase Beergarden and the Coney Island Brewery are hot spots.

Probably the area with the most characters (no kidding), poke stops, and gyms is located near the entrance of Sideshows by the Seashore located near the corner of W.12th near Surf ave.

However, be careful and make sure you look up instead of down at your phone!

“Pokémon Go put me in the ER last night,” one player wrote on a Reddit page devoted to the game. “Not even 30 minutes after the release last night, I slipped and fell down a ditch,” the user wrote. “Fractured the fifth metatarsal bone in my foot…Watch where you’re going, folks!”
