It was the best 4th of July weekend in recent memory. Starting the day watching Joey Chestnut crush 70 hot dogs like a well oiled machine, working away like a typewriter. There was the best of the wurst at nearby Steeplechase Beergarden with their first annual Bratwurst eating contest. In the video below The Coney Island Blog editor Michael Quinn documents parts of the day that includes The Beach Boys at the new Ford Amphitheater as well as the fireworks display.
