Super Size Arcade Coming to Surf ave. and W. 8th
Local developer PYE Properties has been stealing the local headlines from Thor Equities in 2016. While Thor is bringing back Coney Art Walls, PYE Properties started 2016 with buying the landmarked Shore Theater. The purchase of the Shore Theater was first reported by the Coney Island Blog this past January.
PYE Properties is wasting no time bringing a large arcade to the empty lot they purchased on Surf ave. and W. 8th st. According to Yimby:
“Coney Island-based PYE Properties has filed applications for a two-story, 14,517-square-foot commercial building at 825 Surf Avenue, located on the corner of West 8th Street on Coney Island. According to the Schedule A, the 27-foot-tall building will house an amusement arcade.”
Maybe this trend will bring back the good ol’ days of arcades and amusements!

Do you know whats going on with the Johnny Rockets and Ihop buildings? they seem to be taking forever to build?!
Any idea when this will be built or open? Sounds like a great place for another restaurant to be as well!
