Tommy London can be found on occasion in the summer playing games on Coney Island’s Bowery with friends bandleader Brian Newman and Coney Island Tours founder Michael Quinn. Tommy is a New York City rock-n-roll singer and entertainer. He sings, wails and struts his stuff like Elvis Presley’s bastard son.  He’s bringing his Dirty Pearls to Coney Island this summer to rattle the wooden beams off the boardwalk.

It was announced today that hard rock outfit the Dirty Pearls have been chosen to open for rock band Boston at the Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk on August 10th.

Upon receiving the news today Tommy London told the Coney Island Blog  “We are thrilled and honored to have been personally requested by Boston to open for them as part of their 40th anniversary celebration. It was a double thrill when we heard it was going to be at the new Coney Island Amphitheater! Looking forward to August 10!”

The Dirty Pearls have had brushes with greatness opening up for classic rock bands such as Kiss, New York Dolls as well as performing with Run DMC. 

Lady Gaga is one of Tommy London’s best friends and occasionally performs with the Pearls on stage. See video below.
