Nathan’s to Sell Hot Dogs for a Nickel
Nathan’s Famous turns 100 this year. To celebrate they are rolling back the price of hot dogs to the original 5 cents! Only for a short time.
When Nathan’s opened on Surf Ave. their hot dogs were a nickel as to opposed to Feltman’s Restaurant 10 cent dogs. Feltman’s was where Nathan had worked and where the hot dog was invented.
According to the Daily News:
“The once-in-a-century deal will apply at the flagship stand at Surf and Stillwell Aves. in Coney Island from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 28”
So line up for some of that Coney Island Caviar!
On a bun!
