Good-Bye Peggy O’Neill’s, Hello Steeplechase Beer Garden!
To inquiring friends.. on May 1st the long running Peggy O’Neill’s Bar and Restaurant will be no more. Coney Island please welcome Steeplechase Beer Garden!
According to owner James Quigley, “Steeplechase Beer Garden will be paying full homage to George C. Tilyou’s Steeplchase Park (1897-1964), along with the all too familiar “Funny Face” logo. Steeplechase Park was the longest running and most influential park in the history of Coney Island. It’s fitting that the new restaurant and beer garden will be on the original Steeplechase property.”
Expect a new menu with additional pub fare, a new assortment of beer and live music in the Coney Island tradition.
Steeplechase Beer Garden will be having their grand opening on Friday, May 6th.
