Ukrainian Rapper Your Old Droog Returns Home to Coney Island
Coney Island rapper Your Old Droog received much attention back in 2014 when it was rumored that his debut EP was actually performed by veteran rapper Nas.
According to Vibe Magazine “Brooklyn’s Your Old Droog may not have his high school diploma, but his vocabulary still rivals Ivy League scholars. But his desire to better his living conditions and make something of his talent didn’t come easy. Like a lot of young people in America, there was a time when he was stuck in self doubt and the hamster-in-a-wheel cycle.”
He chose the name Droog which translates to friend in Russian. In the video below filmed on W.8th the rapper talks about his struggles before he reached success.
