It’s Pam! Local Activist Wins Assembly Seat
The Coney Island Blog congratulates Coney Island community activist Pamela Harris on winning the 46th State Assembly seat this evening.
Harris, a Coney Island native is a retired corrections officer who founded the local non-profit Coney Island Generation Gap, which keeps teens (ages 13-21) off the streets and teaches them among other things skills in media and film development.
Harris will be replacing Alec Brook-Krasny who resigned this past summer. The 46th Assembly District covers certain areas of Coney Island, Brighton Beach, Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge.
