Endeavor Ready to Spin at Luna Park
Back on October 23rd of 2014, the Coney Island Blog was the first report that an Enterprise “type” ride will be returning to Coney Island.
The Enterprise was at Astroland Park from 1976 until it’s closing.
Now Zamperla has manufactured an Enterprise “type” ride called the Endeavor. The last ride to debut for the season. This new ride will be replacing the Boardwalk Flyer which was located next to restaurant/bar Place to Beach.
The new Endeavor is so popular that the one delivered to Coney Island has already been sold! It will be spinning for a couple of weeks as a showcase then replaced with another one for next season.
The cement has been poured and it seems like the Endeavor may be ready to go by Saturday. Today we found local amusement ride enthusiast Vin Torre standing next to the covered ride, with an expression that conveyed the excitement and absolute joy of a child on Christmas morning. Mr. Torre has been anxiously waiting for the parts to be assembled so he can claim to be the first to ride the new Endeavor.
