Updated Video Trailer: Jagger/Scorsese HBO Series “Vinyl” to be filmed at Coney Island next week
On Tuesday August 11 and Wednesday August 12 a section of Surf ave. will be closed for filming of the new HBO series produced by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger. Vinyl, is a series about the NYC we all miss and love. The series takes place in 1970’s NYC, it portrays the gritty music scene of that era in a fictional setting.
Last week the production team made a replica of hip 1970’s former restaurant/ music venue Max’s Kansas City home to such notable local acts as the New York Dolls, the Velvet Underground and Jayne County.
On Monday August 10, the production team will be setting up for two days of shooting at W.10th and Surf ave, in front of the Cyclone Rollercoaster. We’re told that they will be shooting a “Buddy Holly” dream sequence which will include a smashed up automobile.
Let’s check it out!
Here is a teaser trailer with intro music by the New York Dolls.
Oh man I heard Andrew Dice Clay is in this new HBO show. Is he going to be in Coney filming? Dice is from Sheepshead Bay.
Yes, I lived in the same apartment building as Andrew Dice Clay. It was the 70’s. His Grease act drew notoriety at Pips Comedy Club. This should be a great series!
Enough, Enough with Richie snorting coke. BTW, BO DITTO mouse dick! ACTOR LOL
There are some really GR8 actors out of work & it just makes me angry Especially when stars with your power don’t remember where you came from or your just lucky to be born with Sinatra or Jagger for a last name,
think you just forget where you came from. I gotta say, Lady GaGa, JLO & Beyonce’show the fans how sharing the wealth has made them aware of all the problems of the planet & try to help others. I’m sure Scorsese, DiNiro etc give plenty. But you guys gotta be out in the open our young folks need someone to look up to. We need heros like the AVENGERS, don’t you see why they are so popular. PLEASE MAKE MOVIES THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCES STOP THE GLORY OF VIOLENCE !
