Wahlburgers and Coney Island Brewery Prepping For Summer Opening.
After listening to Grammy Award winning band Mumford and Sons perform a few tunes during their soundcheck at MCU Park this afternoon we decided to check up on the work being done on two of the most hyped about new businesses this season. Our first stop was the former site of Danny Boy’s Pizza located directly in front of MCU Park. The brewing kettle was installed a few weeks ago at the future location of the new Coney Island Brewery (you can see the kettle in the window). Men were hard at work this afternoon constructing the new home of the Coney Island Brewing Company.
Work was also being done on the future site of Wahlburgers, located on Stillwell ave, near the Bowery. Seats are already installed on the roof which will be serving food along with a bar. Wahlburgers is attempting to open by the July 4th holiday providing premium views of the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.
To many restaurant no place for handicap parking. If we have to park we have to pay for the parking. This is not right. Showing Coney island is tourist and not for the residents in the area.
