I am an artist. I am also a Brooklyn native. When I create art, I can’t help but let my inspirations and experiences show through to some extent. City culture and urban life is often a character within my work and this image I created entitled, ‘Coney Island Night’ is no exception. I’ve always been fascinated by old photos of New York, mainly era’s before my time. The style of clothing and overall aesthetic of the characters in this piece was definitely inspired by my love of a long time ago.

I wanted to tackle something that captured the essence of a night well spent at Coney Island, something that can transcend era and culture, something that hopefully tourists and locals alike can enjoy.
