CIB Welcomes Piece of Velvet

We stopped by to see our friend Michael, co-owner of Piece of Velvet, putting the finishing touches on his new Surf ave. store.  Michael gave us a tour of the inside of his new cake shop which will be opening on Surf ave and 15th st. tomorrow, with it’s sleek white bright interior the business is a welcoming addition to a booming Surf ave. As you can see the neon sign in front is in place.  It looks like they are ready to roll. Michael told us that he is excited to share free pieces of his delicious Piece of Velvet cake with the entire  Coney Island community tomorrow. All are welcome.

On January 13 th The Coney Island Blog was the first to report that the Ft. Greene bakery was opening up a store on Surf ave. as well as the glitzy grand opening planned for Valentine’s Day.

Michael told us that his store will be open to the public at 1pm tomorrow.
