Although known for a long time, Wahlburgers has announced a date for their NYC opening. Wahlburgers will open it’s first ever New York City location at Coney Island on May 1 (Grand opening has been pushed back to June).

According to the NY Post:
Wahlburgers is coming to New York City.
John Cestare, from Big Apple Burgers, has secured franchise rights from Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg and will be opening seven locations.
The lease is signed on a Coney Island store, to open May 1, and six locations are slated for Manhattan.
We’re told Cestare will appear on Season 3 of the A&E reality show about the family’s Boston-based burger joint and will also be opening a franchise in Vegas.
More are in the works in Florida and Philadelphia.

I have lived in Brooklyn my entire life and always loved Coney Island, since I was a kid and now at the age of 53 I still go quite a few times during the summer and also in the winter for Nathan’s and other places I want you to know I am a big fan of the show and I am so happy that you will be opening one here in Brooklyn, I am so excited and can’t wait to have one of your burgers I hope that I can be there for your opening on May 1st I am looking forward to this and so will all other New Yorkers

By the subway station on Surf avenue, they said last summer that Johnny Rockets was opening soon… It never opened! I wonder if that’s going to be the new location of Walhburgers? That would be great!

OMG …can’t wait to take a stroll down Surf Ave before a Cyclones baseball game and have a Wahlburger! Thanks to Paul and the family for brining the love to Brooklyn. I wonder if Blue Bloods will come back to Brighton Beach and Coney Island to film again and tape at Wahlburgers. LOL
Opening on May Day, as a Coney Island resident, resident leader, community board 13 member I will be there for the grand opening. Jonny Rocket was due to open what a big turn down that turned out to be. This means more jobs for our local residents. Please come meet the community leaders like myself and others before your opening. Many of them have no ideal of your business coming.
Looking forward to enjoying a Wahlburger and imaging myself having lunch with the famous Wahlbergs. Got alot of laughs and few emotional feeling. watching there show

There was a place called Uncle Wesley s that closed a few years ago…….it’s still not been taken over…it is very missed by community and local college community….known for its fresh burgers and cut fries ! Hope you will look it over !

Being born and raised in Brooklyn I would love to know if it was built using quality union labor seeing on how Donny is such a union supporter and union member himself??
