Cupcake Store “Piece of Velvet” to Open on Surf Ave.

Cupcake store Piece of Velvet will be opening at the tiny storefront next to Rita’s Ice on the north side of 15th and Surf ave. The store has locations downtown in Fort Greene as well as in Manhattan. We stopped by the Fort Greene location last weekend to sample the delicious servings of red velvet cakes, ice cream, cupcakes, pancakes and waffles. Between Rita’s and now Piece of Velvet, West 15th and Surf can now be referred to as Carbohydrate Corner! Good luck!
