Thank You Chuck
by Michael Quinn
This Wednesday, December 31st, Chuck Reichenthal our long time District Manager will be serving his last day as a City employee at Community Board 13. While many of us will be focusing on the festivities of the day, we should thank Chuck for his decades of service to our community. He has been our district manager through both the redevelopment of the amusement district and the trying times of Super Storm Sandy. He has also tirelessly volunteered his time helping many organizations within the community. Chuck was here through some of the most drastic changes this community has seen in decades. He is one of the main reasons why I aspired to serve on Community Board 13. When I was appointed a year and a half ago he was the first person to welcome me with open arms to the board. I always looked forward to spending time with Chuck at the office with my daughter. We often enjoyed talking about community events, Brooklyn history and theatre.
Nobody in the City of New York has the ability to run an office with as much experience and knowledge as Chuck. Chuck has always been there to answer our questions and offer support. As a friend I’m sure he will continue to be.
Thank You Chuck.
