Flu More Threatening Than Ebola

With all of the media frenzy focusing on Ebola our community must not forget that the flu virus still kills thousands of people each year. We are encouraging you to get vaccinated this season. Councilman Mark Treyger has partnered with Coney Island Hospital to provide free flu shots next Thursday, October 30 at Warbasse Houses. There are limited slots available between 11:30am and 3:30pm. You must register by contacting Inna Lukyanenko at 718-373-9673.

People 65 and older as well as people with certain chronic medical conditions are encouraged to get a flu shot.
